With this video we show Blu125 laser cutting laminated foam at 30mm thickness

Blu125 is a 100w DC CO2 laser cutter with a work area 1250x900mm. When cutting very thick foam it' is an advantage to use a long focal length lens to try and minimise the draft angle of the material edge after laser cutting. For this video we use a 4" f/l lens

The underside extraction feature of Blu125 is especially useful for this application as it removes most of the fumes from beneath the material, which helps to improve the edge quality of the laser cut. The underside extraction feature also helps to hold the foam flat during the cutting process.
