The Solid State Tape Echo offers two preamp modes: the EP-3 mode, which is the identical TIS58 JFET circuit of the first version Echoplex EP-3 used by the likes of Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Tommy Bolin, etc. and the "Full Mode" which is a dead-on, honest, full-range rich sound, in case you aren’t craving that unique EP-3 color. These preamp modes only set the stage for the rich & warm echo tones that this machine can produce.

The Fulltone Solid State Tape Echo is as Joel puts it, "not an effects unit, but an instrument itself"; with so many capabilities, colors, and modes, this tape echo will keep you occupied for hours on end with its versatility.
