The Edberg family includes both biological and adopted children, six of whom live with disabilities. As the children have grown, the family has had to make difficult and thoughtful decisions. Two of the children now live in a group home due to aggressive behaviors, where they can receive the support that best meets their needs. Even so, they remain deeply loved members of the family and continue to visit and stay connected with their siblings and Carrie, their single mom.
The Edberg's show that there are many ways a family can support and love one another through life’s challenges. They want others to know that families come in many forms, and that care and belonging can look different for everyone.
