Arctic Voices - Susan Griesdale (RCM Level 3 List C - 2015 Piano Celebration Series)

Описание: Many of my regular viewers may not be interested in this piece because it is very very minimalist and simple (with an empty feeling, like the Arctic), but it is part of the Royal Conservatory of Music level 3 Repertoire list assigned to me by my new piano teacher. It is an opportunity for me to explore and learn about pauses, dynamics, and regulating speed, and to discover ways to make beautiful music on the piano beyond just pressing the right keys. At one part I even look like I am finished but actually I am not.

I really enjoy playing this because it is helping me feel new things in music that I have not paid attention to before. I know that I can learn even more to play it even better. Probably most people will think that I left too much space in some sections but I was really exploring how the space between notes and phrases can be just as much a part of the music as the actual notes.

Also today my subscriber Jeremy Borum tuned my piano and regulated some keys so it was very nice to play this on a freshly tuned piano. I am very grateful that he did that for me.
