We are pleased to present a fine guitar from San Francisco builder Michael Thames. This example is from 1992 and features high grade Indian Rosewood back/sides, and a cedar top. The elevated 650mm scale neck is Spanish cedar, the fretboard is ebony, and the peghead overlay is mahogany. Appointed with a single pearl fretmaker dot, hand-cut rosette. Outfitted with Schaller LG1 Lyre gold-plated geared tuners, and a rosewood bridge. Playing wear/finish checking is present on the top and has been subsequently refinished with shellac. A thin line of finish checking is also present on the back of the neck/peghead. The guitar was also professionally re-fretted.
