Riding Mountain National Park Backcountry Day 1: Central Trailhead to Whitewater Lake

Описание: In September 2025 we set out on a 61 km backpacking trip in Riding Mountain National Park, starting with a visit to the famous bison enclosure before hitting the trail.

On Day 1, we hiked from the Central Trail trailhead to Whitewater Lake, covering 10.4 km. The trail was easy to follow with a few short rolling hills, which gave us a gentle introduction to this multi-day route. Once at Whitewater Lake, we set up camp and spent the afternoon relaxing and exploring around the campground.
