Well this is a totally random idea I was playing around with. Heres the storyline: Elena and Bucky are a couple but he dies on a mission with Steve/ Captain America. She has a hard time forgiving him. After the funeral, she realizes that she has feelings for Steve. She feels guilty about it since steve and bucky were best friends. Once she feels like it's okay to move on they find out bucky is alive. He has been brainwashed by hydra and barely remembers Elena and Steve. He attacks them and manages to escape. After he remembers all the times they spent together before hydra brainwashes him again.
