Green with Envy Monster Hand Oil Painting

Описание: Today I’m painting Teddy ‪@Anaya_Deenwriter‬ one of my many fictional creatures from my upcoming fantasy novel Evy Moon and the Cauldron of Courage, the first book in the Secrets of Crestwick series.
At first glance Teddy looks like a monster hand emerging from a tree branch — long claws, thick fur across the knuckles, and a watchful eye in the centre of the palm. My creatures are ancient beings shaped by the magic of the land itself.
Teddy spends most of his time perched quietly in the trees, watching the forest paths and occasionally startling students who wander too close. His unusual gift is that he can sense envy and jealousy, and when he does, the colour of his eye darkens to a deeper green.
