Experimentation for Sculpture & Installation Course
This was the first video we shot when the dancers were confident with the routine; we set up with the same extreme wide shot used in the practice to include the background of the fountain. Using the framing edge markers on the ground and my powder throwing helps positioned ourselves and prepared for the beat of the course with powder in hand. Following the count of Tyla I gave the sign to throw the Holi powder perfectly in time with the chores, this worked well; though with using the extreme wide shot of the camera the main effect and the impact of the powder wasn't emphasised strongly enough because the wide carried it to early. We needed to be closer to the dancers in order to throw the powder with enough force for it not to be instantly picked up by the wind.
