"Again I Say Rejoice" by: Israel Houghton has become a real classic in many church circles. I must admit that I got a bit bored with playing the song, but that just isn't right! We should always seek to stay connected with the lyrics that we are singing; our God is always worth celebrating!
Recently I experimented with changing my chord voicings around a bit. There are so many different things that you can add to this song as a guitarist. I wanted to make a video to explore a few of those options in my patented verbally-processing-as-I-go way. The guitar is quite a bit louder than my voice...which is probably not a bad thing. Hopefully this is useful to you! Never take what you do for granted. If you're bored, relearn your parts! The guitar just isn't a boring thing. Worshiping our God just isn't a boring thing! As you grow musically, you should be able to express your worship in new ways! This video is just another part of my ongoing journey into praise music.
