The adventure of a lifetime begins here! Join me as I navigate my first steps of my 2,650 mile trek on the Pacific Crest Trail. In this first episode of my 2026 PCT series, I set out at the southern terminus at the US Mexico border and into the vast desert landscape of Southern California.

This PCT section is often known for its heat and challenges but we did get an early start and the weather so far has been pretty ideal, with high 60s during the day and 50s at night.

77 miles from the southern terminus to Julian, Ca.

Day 1-
15 miles
Terminus to Hauser creek

Day 2-
Hauser creek to camp 28

Day 3-
Camp 28 to Mount Laguna

Day 4-
Laguna Campground to water tank
Mason truck trail

Day 5-
Camp to scissors crossing

Day 6
Scissors crossing to Julian
0 day + resupply + rest
