This video doesn't really do the tone of this setup justice. It sounds and feels incredible in the room and under the fingers.
Both amps are wet as I'm running a delay in the Boogie's effects loop (I like the grit on the delay tails during leads). But the stereo imaging is coming from the L1. Since it's technically a PA and not a traditional guitar amp I can run a stereo reverb in to two separate channels on the mixer, then level/eq them individually. It creates a HUGE stereo sound that beautifully frames the Boogie (which is pushing a collection of Tone Tubby and EV 12" speakers). This has been a game changer for me! Especially for octave/pitch shift, chorus, and time based stereo effects.
For you stereo-purists It's worth noting that I have tried this setup using the Boogie's slave-out to power a string of stereo effects, running them into channel 4/5 on the L1's tonematch mixer. This definitely works, but the tone is initially very harsh and requires A LOT of EQing. If you have the time to dial it in it will sound awesome. But for gigging I would opt in favor of what you're hearing in this video. Using an ABY Box, placing all the stereo effects after output B, and then into two channels in the Tonematch. The result is immediately awesome :D
The guitar is a MIM Fender Special Edition Standard Strat customized with a full set of Vaughn Skow 1954 Holy Grail Historic Pickups. Hand tooled leather pick guard made to order by Barry Davidson who can be found on twitter @awl_tool.
Performed with my band Two Shot Salvation. Please check our other videos here / @twoshotsalvation9738
