Bread Pakoda Recipe (Street Style) 🥪✨
Ingredients:
• 4 bread slices
• 2 boiled potatoes
• 1 small onion (finely chopped)
• 1–2 green chillies (finely chopped)
• 2 tbsp coriander leaves
• ½ tsp turmeric powder
• ½ tsp red chilli powder
• ½ tsp garam masala
• Salt to taste
For Batter:
• 1 cup besan (gram flour)
• ½ tsp turmeric powder
• ½ tsp red chilli powder
• 1 pinch baking soda (optional)
• Salt to taste
• Water (to make thick batter)
For Frying:
• Oil for deep frying
Method
1️⃣ Prepare Potato Filling
• Mash boiled potatoes in a bowl.
• Add onion, green chilli, coriander, turmeric, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
• Mix well.
2️⃣ Prepare Batter
• In another bowl add besan, turmeric, red chilli powder, salt and baking soda.
• Add water little by little and make a thick smooth batter.
3️⃣ Prepare Bread
• Spread potato mixture on one bread slice.
• Cover with another slice and press lightly.
• Cut into triangle pieces.
4️⃣ Fry Bread Pakoda
• Heat oil in a kadai.
• Dip bread in besan batter properly.
• Fry on medium flame until golden and crispy.
5️⃣ Serve
• Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup. 🌶️
