Trying to type inside a shape in Adobe Illustrator? In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to do it using the Area Type Tool, which lets you fill any closed shape — like a circle — with editable, wrap-aware text.
This is different from typing around a shape or path. It's a great technique for posters, badges, or any layout where you want clean, contained type inside a circular (or custom) shape. I also mention how you can do this with squares, polygons, and more.
