Police have cracked the case of the child's body found in a canal near the ARP camp in Edapally mandal of Nizamabad district. The deceased girl was identified as Prachi, from Kerur in Mukhed mandal of Maharashtra. Police investigation revealed that her own father, Panduranga, had brutally murdered his daughter. It was revealed that he eliminated his daughter because of a rule stating that individuals with three children are ineligible to contest in the upcoming Sarpanch elections, and he wanted to secure the position. The police have also taken into custody the current Sarpanch, Ganesh, who allegedly instigated this heinous act. CP Sai Chaitanya explained the details of the arrests to the media.
