Описание: In the fourth session of MDC DSA’s Beyond the Bombs: Anti-Imperialist Summer School teach-in series, we will look at the role of international NGOs and quasi-autonomous US government entities like USAID and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) in upholding global imperialism, and American empire in particular. We will examine how these entities promote neoliberalism in the name of humanitarian assistance and ‘international development,’ as well as how these institutions have historically served and continue to serve as fronts for direct and indirect U.S. intervention in the affairs of sovereign nations in the Global South.
