KLM’s iconic Boeing 737 has made its final flight, marking the end of an era for Dutch aviation.
On November 4th, 2025, the 737-800 with registration PH-BXK flew from Amsterdam (AMS) to Twente Airport (ENS) — a short 26-minute flight before being retired forever.
After landing, the engines were shut down for the last time.
From here, the aircraft will be dismantled and recycled, with 90% of its parts being reused.
This marks the beginning of a new chapter for KLM, as the airline transitions from its beloved Boeing 737 fleet to the more efficient Airbus A320neo and A321neo family. Aircraft that use up to 20% less fuel and emit fewer CO₂ emissions.
For passengers, it means quieter cabins, better lighting, and more comfort on short European routes.
As the blue 737s slowly disappear from the skies, a new generation of aircraft is ready to take their place.
