I was able to reset the switch with a magnet twice before the switch needed to be replaced. If the magnet is not resetting your switch, you may need the replacement part also. The replacement kit comes with a rain cover for the switch and a replacement thermocouple sensor. I inspected the thermocouple for leaks and it was not leaking so I just changed the switch out and put on the included rain cover.
