How Much Does It Cost To Get A Contractors License In 2022 - Contractor License School

I mean seriously it would be great to know how much it costs to get your contractor's license. Wouldn't it be so awesome if someone could just make a video about it or something?

Seeing as no one is crazy enough to make a video like that, I guess I'll just have to tell you myself. Let's break down the cost into 3 separate sections.

1. Pre-exam
Before you take your state exam to get your contractor's license you will want to prepare to take that state exam lol. You're gonna need some form of studying material. There are plenty of schools out there, but just so you know we're the best. Here is a link to all that we offer you, and a dragon's egg (dragon's eggs are sold separately and only if asked for. Dragon's egg doesn't exist).

2. State Exam
Once you got your studying school taken care of (and not in the way that mobsters take care of things) You have to take your Actual State Exams. You are going to fill out your application which we do with you if you are a part of our school. The state application fee will be $450. Then you take your test and hope to the state little g gods that you signed up for the right school. If you signed up with us, you literally made the best decision of your life. No joke. On your death bed when your life flashes before your eyes our contractor school will be the last thing you see (again, not in the way that a mobster would mean to say that).

3. Post-Exam
You, Shia LaBeouf, Did it! There are a few more fees involved.
Final State Fee - Sole Owners $200. Corporations - $650
Bond $100-$200 credit score dependent
Fingerprinting $65-$70

Legally that is all that you need to be a license contractor. If you have employees you do have to have work comp, call an insurance agent for pricing, and General Liability is a good thing to have, but not legally necessary.

The total estimated cost range is $1,400-$2,000 in total depending on the school program you choose.
