The light at the end of the tunnel has just gotten brighter! The NBA has officially confirmed that the lockout will end in January 20th! On that day, teams will be free to sign free agents and trade players! And on top of this good news, there is sad news. Tomorrow, after the Spurs game against the Suns, Michael Jordan will go into retirement once again, and likely for good. Sad days, y'all. Sad days.
Fun fact: Michael Jordan retired on the day the Los Angeles Clippers hired Chris Ford to be their 1998-1999 season head coach in real life. (In NBA Live 99 where my version of the lockout plays out a bit differently allowing the regular season to start in November instead of February, the Clippers hired him before the Live 99's version of the regular season started).
