🌡️ Thermoneutral Zone or Comfort Zone — this is the temperature range where animals feel comfortable and don’t need to use extra energy to stay warm or cool down.
🐄 Exotic cattle feel comfortable between 10°C to 21°C.
🐃 Zebu cattle, which are more heat-tolerant, are comfortable from 18°C to 32°C.
🐃 Buffaloes do best in 15°C to 27°C.
🐑🐐 Sheep and goats can handle cooler climates, from 5°C to 24°C.
🐖 Adult pigs like it around 20°C to 25°C, while 🐷 newborn piglets need warmth — around 35°C to 36°C.
❄️ The lower part of the image shows the Critical Air Temperature, which is the lowest temperature each animal can handle before it needs to use extra energy to stay warm.
👨🌾 Humans start feeling cold below 28°C,
🐕 Dogs (short-haired) below 25°C,
🐇 Rabbits below 17°C,
🐄 Cattle below 7°C,
🐑🐖 Sheep and pigs can go down to 0°C,
🦭 Harbor seals can manage –10°C,
🐐⛰️ Mountain goats can survive down to –30°C,
🐻❄️ Some Arctic animals can live even at –40°C!
🌴 In short, tropical animals are more comfortable in warm climates, while ❄️ cold-region animals can survive at freezing temperatures. #icar #ivri #ndri
