Our boat trailer is getting a much needed upgrade with our CargoBuckle Retractable Transom Straps. Transom straps are gonna be very useful in a lot of different applications. For now, we're just using it on our boat trailer. But if you are hauling some equipment around like mowers or any other equipment on the job site, it's gonna be a great option for you if you have a place to mount it. And you only really need the one side of the strap. Our strap's gonna be one inch wide.

And when I open this up all the way, it's gonna be six foot long. So it's plenty of strap. We don't really need a whole lot on our boat trailer, but if you did need a little bit more, this one is six foot. It's made of a polyester webbing, so it's the same material as your seat belts in your vehicle at home. We have a vinyl coated S-hook, which is gonna make sure that my nice little paint job on my boat isn't gonna get scratched up whenever I'm hauling it around.

We have a plastic housing and a rubber-coated sure grip which is gonna give us a not metal feel whenever we're ratcheting this down, especially if you're using your boat or whatever in the winter months. And it has a plenty big little ratchet here. And it works pretty, pretty well. This is gonna have a working load limit of 466 pounds and a break strength of 1400 pounds per strap. And they do come in a pack of two.

If you're trying to figure out which strap's gonna be best for you, I would just take a look at the lengths and make sure it's the right length. And also the capacity cuz we don't wanna overload the strap. But with this on my trailer, with two of them, it's plenty strong for what I need. The only other thing we need to show you is just how we install. It comes with the hardware.

You need two tools and that's it. Took me 30 seconds for each one. So stick around, we're gonna show you how we did it. Find a good spot to mount this on up. And then what we wanna do is take the release and pull it all the way up. That's gonna allow our hook to be free. So we wanna set it to where we're gonna mount it to, where we're gonna use our hook. And I have a perfect little spot right here. So what you wanna do is we're gonna take a little washer right here, putting it on like that. We're gonna put this through. It's gonna be another washer and then a nylon lock nut. And at this point we just need a 16 millimeter socket. Make sure it's a deep well because our hardware is about two inches long and then a 16 millimeter wrench. Get it nice and squared up and ratchet down. There you go. You can go ahead and crank it.
