Geoff Portman Commodore Rally Car Rebuild, this is the first of a series of videos on the rebuild of the 2009 Alpine Rally winning Holden Commodore that was driven by 1981 and 1982 Australian Rally Champion Geoff Portman. The Commodore was picked up from Queensland where it had been involved in a major crash while competing in a Queensland Rally.
Geoff passed away in 2021 from cancer, a group of guy's that had worked and built Geoff's original rally cars, most notable his Datsun 1600 known as Grunter, got together and decided to purchase the wrecked Commodore and bring it back to the condition it was in when Geoff last competed. This video is part 1 of the journey to rebuild and save this Alpine Rally Winning car
