Compliance with the Performance Requirement is verified for a roof or external wall assembly when it is determined that a mould index of no greater than 3 will result, as defined by Section 6 of AIRAH DA07. Therefore, if mould growth is found in a building, it is important to take steps to remove it as soon as possible.
