Leopard stuck in a well: Big cat hoisted to safety in India

Описание: Forest wardens in India's Gujarat state have rescued a three-year old leopard which had fallen into an open well. The eight man team from the village of Aambaliya tranquillised the animal, before hoisting it out of the well on a small wooden-framed bed called a charpoy. Instances of wild animals such as leopards and tigers straying into residential areas are not uncommon. With their natural habitats under threat, big cats are often forced to move into human settlements to find food. Report by Sophie Foster.
