The in-game cups are over and done. Now it's on to the four stand-alone DLC cups. These are unique in their own positive ways. Unlike the nitro and retro cups, it's a mix of both retro and original tracks. So let's see what's in store for yours truly.
The Egg Cup starts things off with, one of the more unique retro tracks in the history of Mario Kart: Yoshi Circuit (Mario Kart: Double Dash). I've only played it on Mario Kart DS and not the original from the GameCube, but I love what they did with it on the Wii U. THEN it gets good. Three original tracks await you here. An Excitebike track, a full anti-gravity track based off of a Super Mario Galaxy boss and, get this, an original carnation of F-Zero's Mute City. Yes, an F-Zero track on a Mario Kart game. What a start to the DLC cups, right?
And of course, who better to start off the DLC cups than with the best princess ever in the Super Mario Bros. franchise. I have always loved Princess Daisy whenever she's been in a Mario Kart game. Wii, 3DS, DS, Wii U. Don't matter. If she's there, you know I'm picking her. What? I like tomboy characters. And I happen to enjoy her character a lot.
