It is unfortunate our next generations won't know what a "caboose" is all about. Even "RADIO" (a caboose equipped with 2-way radio) was worth advertising in the 1960's. So much of railroading moved on hand signals, lanterns and fusees. With the advent of cheaper electronics, repeaters, the internet, and the like, "RADIO" has become as unique as color television.
