The Super 27 was a modification package which upgraded the pod engines JT8D-217C which provided much more thrust with its distinctive clamshell thrust reversers.

Inside there were several modernising features such upgraded Rockwell Collins EFIS and AP, digital displays, FMS with LNAV/VNAV and RNP Approach capability.

Today we’re going to fly from Atlanta (KATL) to Key West (KEYW). Thanks to MKStudios for sending their latest scenery release of KEYW, the perfect destination to land the 727 with its short runway and RNP approaches!
