The Nike Flex Control 4 has been recommended to me to try multiple times on the channel, and I finally got around to reviewing it.

This model is built as a budget-friendly trainer with a bias towards lifting and cross-training. They feel a lot like the older, low-profile Nike training shoes that I grew up with and fell in love with.

Of all the training shoes I've reviewed in 2024, these have been one the most surprising pairs to date regarding their performance.

I've got to say, the Flex Control 4 has surprised the heck out of me with its performance, and I'm thankful I finally gave them a try.

I love the older Nike Free trainers and this shoe gives me similar vibes to those shoes due to its lower stack and flexible sole.

I think if you're wanting that cheap training shoe for lifting and cross-training, you can't go wrong with the Flex Control 4.
