An outstanding performance of the Magunatip bamboo dance by Budayawan, one of Sabah’s best traditional dance groups. Magunatip, the traditional dance of the Murut, who were once the headhunting warriors of Borneo, demands both bravery and agility. Dancers must skillfully time their movements between clapping bamboo poles to avoid getting their feet trapped or struck. It’s almost unbelievable that this dancer can perform the fast-paced bamboo dance blindfolded for nearly a minute. This video is being represented by LADbible Group.
