You may already use your colander to rinse fresh herbs, but here’s an easy way you can use it also to remove the leaves from herbs easily and have them ready to rinse.
Simply thread the stem end of the herbs through the holes on a colander. This works best if the holes are just slightly larger than the circumference of the stem.
Repeat with other stems.
Then grasp the group of stems and pull firmly through the holes.
The leaves will be in your colander, the stems in your hand. Now your leaves are ready for rinsing and using!
