Join us as we take a tour of the Forbidden Valley at Alton Towers taking a look at the new Nemesis Reborn coaster, and capturing its first opening day ride. We also explore the New Nemesis Supply Store with all the new Nemesis Reborn Merchandise. The Forbidden Valley area of the park attracts thrill-seekers with its post-apocalyptic landscape and adrenaline-pumping rides and attractions.

Forbidden Valley is a stop on the SkyRide that travels from Tower Street to the Towers / Dark Forest. Forbidden Valley also features The Blade, Galactica, Nemesis Reborn, Nemesis Supply Store, Nemesis Sub-Terra, and the Rollercoaster Restaurant. There is also an exit here to the hotels. Forbidden Valley was also home to some notable past rides including Ripsaw, The Beast, The Beastie, and Thunder Looper

At the heart of Forbidden Valley lies Nemesis Reborn, an inverted steel roller coaster that has captured the hearts of roller coaster enthusiasts worldwide as Nemesis and is now set to capture a new generation as it reopens for 2024. As one of the top-rated rides in global polls, Nemesis is an unforgettable experience as riders plunge into the story of an ancient alien creature unleashed upon the valley. Nemesis Sub Terra joined Nemesis, after being closed for some years this attraction reopened in 2023.

As you venture around Forbidden Valley with us, we encounter the site of one attraction that guests miss the most, Ripsaw. This site was home to Funk’n’Fly part of the Retro Squad collection of rides for a few years and looks set to once again become home to a brand new permanent ride known as Project Ocean. Forbidden Valley also features The Blade which swings daring riders through the air aboard a menacing pendulum boat. Finally, at the bottom of Forbidden Valley is Galactica, formerly known as Air, which takes riders soaring to the sky as if they are actually flying.

Forbidden Valley was previously known as Thunder Valley which was home to a Schwarzkopf Shuttle Loop ride known as the Thunder Looper. The Thunder Looper was situated where Blade sits in present-day Forbidden Valley. Other rides in the area at the time were the New Beast and Beastie. It was in 1994 that Thunder Valley was renamed to Forbidden Valley and changed to the post-apocalyptic landscape and this coincided with the opening of a brand new B&M Inverted Coaster known as Nemesis.
