I'm going to my first music festival!!! But... I HATE tents! Instead of spending an extra $700 (plus gas) to bring the RV, I decided to build a bed system for our Toyota Rav4 since I'll be solo camping and leaving Derek and the dogs behind. This bed platform folds in half for easy (ok, easy-ish) movement and storage. Unfortunately the seats need to be folded down for it to be transported in the back hatch, but plan B if I need to carry passengers is for it to easily be stowed in the hitch basket. I'm so excited to go solo camping!
Materials Used :
3/4" plywood sheet
2x4 board
2x6 board
1x4 and 1x6 scraps
piano hinges
screws
nail gun staples
