A longer “warranty”, major design change, along with minor improvements in dimming, energy usage and color rendering round out the various upgrades that create this year’s LED bulbs from Cree. Taken separately, they’re not really that much “better”, but together, they could be a reason to upgrade, especially if you’re still on incandescent/halogen or CFL lighting.
The particular product in the review is a 60 watt-equivalent, 815 lumen, soft white (2700K) LED bulb from Cree.
