SVP wanted to understand the driving factors behind the voluntary contributions charge to parents and the impact this is having on their family's finances.
The Society of St Vincent de Paul commissioned independent research which sought the experiences and views of parents. From the data, SVP developed six recommendations that would mitigate and eradicate the negative impact voluntary contributions and other charges have on families, children and young people.
The following are some of the responses from parents who took part in the research.
