In this video, I show how camera settings can completely change the sense of speed in racing games — especially in Assetto Corsa Rally.
Most racing games look much slower than they actually are, mainly because of safe default camera settings. Narrow field of view, too much zoom, and static cameras kill the feeling of speed.
First, I demonstrate the problem by exaggerating slow, zoomed-in settings. Then, step by step, I show how to fix it — using FOV, pitch, and camera distance to make the game feel fast, intense, and alive.
I go through bumper cam and hood cam setups, explaining why each view feels different and how to get that raw rally and go-kart-like sensation.
This setup is recorded on an RTX 2060 gaming laptop, so graphics aren’t maxed out — proving that camera settings matter more than pure visual quality.
