Lagoa do Fogo ("Fire Lake") is the crater lake at the volcano crater of Água de Pau Massif at the center of São Miguel. São Miguel is a perfect place for hiking. This is a fantastic hike down into the crater, along the beautiful shore, back up the crater wall and along the crater ridge.
After this I hike down the volcano to the north to visit the hot springs of Caldeira Velha and the magnificient Salto do Cabrito.
São Miguel is the perfect place for anyone who loves nature and the outdoors!
