The World Health Organization has shared a fresh update on the hantavirus outbreak linked to the cruise ship MV Hondius. The Netherlands confirmed a new hantavirus case involving a crew member who had disembarked in Tenerife before returning home. Officials said the infected individual has been in isolation since repatriation. The outbreak has now reached 12 reported cases and three deaths, while over 600 contacts across 30 countries remain under monitoring. Health authorities are continuing efforts to trace high-risk contacts and monitor passengers and crew under quarantine protocols.
