2013 is a celebratory year for Colchester Zoo as it reaches its 50th Anniversary. To mark this special occasion Colchester Zoo are hosting a number of special events and their Stand Tall for Giraffes campaign takes to the streets with 2.5m giraffe sculptures forming a large-scale public art event for 12 weeks in the summer of 2013. This will ultimately raise money for its charity Action for the Wild.
Every year Colchester Zoo offers a fun filled calendar of events including Easter Wonderland, a host of summer late night openings, Shriek Week and the Magic of Christmas, just to name a few.
