This is the most basic surge protector offered by Belkin.
In short, don't buy it because it only uses 1 MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) that is installed between Live and Neutral.
I'd highly recommend getting the German "Brennenstuhl Primera-Line 13.5 kA Single Surge / Lightning Protector Mains Socket Plug" which has 3 MOVs and 2 thermal fuses. Note there is a cheaper 4.5 kA version of this. Just search along those lines as these aren't that uncommon in the UK.
