Vegetable oil for frying
Preparation:
Preparing the filling:
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan.
Fry the chopped onion until golden brown. Salt and pepper to taste.
Preparing the dough:
Mix the flour and salt in a deep bowl.
Gradually add water, kneading the dough. The dough should be elastic and not stick to your hands.
Form a small ball from the dough, cover it with a towel or film and let it sit for 10-15 minutes until it becomes soft.
Forming and frying chudu:
Divide the dough into small pieces.
Roll each piece into a thin round layer (as thin as possible).
Put the filling on one half of the dough, leaving the edges free.
Cover the filling with the second half of the dough, press the edges and pinch gently.
Heat the frying pan.
Fry each chudu on both sides over medium heat until golden brown (2-3 minutes on each side).
Serving:
Serve the chudu hot, with a cup of kefir or just like that.
