Naturally, people are curious about the future of Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the fourth installment.



But what about Miles Morales? Are there any plans for him in live-action? We have updates on both fronts. The producers have confirmed that they are working on a Miles Morales live-action film, although specific details like the director and release date are yet to be announced.


Interestingly, Tom Holland recently celebrated his 27th birthday, which coincidentally aligns with Tobey Maguire's age when he started as Spider-Man. This highlights the intriguing casting choices and age dynamics in the Spider-Man franchise. Tom Holland himself revealed that while the script for Spider-Man 4 is being worked on, the writers' strike has temporarily put a hold on its development. Nevertheless, the producers are committed to bringing the story to life.


In terms of the news surrounding Spider-Man 4 and the live-action Miles Morales film, it's not surprising that Sony is keen to continue the success of the franchise. After all, Spider-Man: No Way Home raked in massive profits. With Sony owning the rights to Spider-Man and Disney controlling Marvel and its other characters, it's a lucrative business for Sony to explore Spider-Man and related spin-offs.


As for a live-action Miles Morales film, it seems that the timing is right. While comic book readers were already familiar with the character, mainstream audiences are now more receptive. The box office performance of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse demonstrated this shift, with the sequel, Across the Spider-Verse, garnering significantly higher early numbers compared to its predecessor.


Miles Morales is gaining popularity through various mediums, including video games like the PlayStation title and appearances in Fortnite. Even young audiences are growing up with a version of Spider-Man that includes Peter Parker, Miles, and Spider-Gwen, showcasing the character's mainstream appeal.
