We celebrated MLK Day the best way we knew how: climbing Lighthouse Tower in Moab. I’ve had Lighthouse Tower on my bucket list for a long time, and we finally checked it off.
We took on the Lonely Vigil (5.10+) route, and, it’s was one of the toughest trad grades I’ve led to date. The climbing is super solid, but the real prize is the top. Having stood on the summits of Castleton and Ancient Art, I can confidently say the summit of Lighthouse Tower is one of my favorites. This tower isn't talked about like some of the other popular climbs, but one I definitely recommend you put on your list.
