This 1942 U.S. Army training film is an American adaptation of the earlier British "U.X.B." film It was used to train the first generations of American Bomb Disposal squads in the identification and reporting of unexploded Axis ordnance.
These are the first two reels of the series:
Reel 1: Covers the initial reconnaissance of a bomb site, identifying traces of blast, and the distinction between thin-cased SC (General Purpose) bombs and thick-walled SD (Armour Piercing) bombs.
Reel 2: Focuses on identification by parts, including tail fins, fuses, and casing markings. It features a technical size comparison chart showing various German bomb weights and dimensions.
