Just before the U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran reportedly allowed UN nuclear inspectors access to key uranium-related sites, according to international reports. The move came amid rising global concerns over Tehran’s enriched uranium stockpile and growing tensions with Washington.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) had planned inspections around June 13, but U.S.-Israeli strikes began the same day, disrupting verification efforts. IAEA chief Rafael Grossi later stated that inspectors could no longer verify the status of Iran’s highly enriched uranium after the attacks.
