On May 14, 2021, WTTW and Instituto del Progreso Latino hosted a FIRSTHAND: Living in Poverty conversation about overcoming poverty in Chicago. Corporate and civic leaders Jesus Gonzalez, Chief of Staff for AON Global Cyber Insurance Solutions; Reina Magana-Goodman, Vice President at Fifth Third Bank; and Instituto’s President and CEO Karina Ayala-Bermejo were joined by documentary subject Melissa Fonseca to discuss their journey from humble beginnings to the board room.
The panel was moderated by City Colleges of Chicago Chancellor Juan Salgado.
