Siena was a pleasant surprise. The 2 hr. bus ride was well worth it. The bus ride offered sights of the Tuscan countryside. Upon arriving I was welcomed by a bustling flea market, where locals shop for everyday items. I rented a bike to get around quicker and I stumbled upon a bike shop owned by Luca, a hospitable and passionate Italian. His shop was beautiful, filled with tools and bikes. The food in Sienna is not to be missed, I had a panini from a local Salumeria and it was delicious. Biking in Siena is not easy, but it made the day trip memorable.
