Recently, I stumbled upon the term “staycation,” and it perfectly describes my latest adventure. I decided to embrace a staycation in Boston, where I’ve called home for over two decades. Hyatt Regency, Cambridge, became our home for two nights, eliminating any concerns about parking in the city.
Embarking on our staycation, we left home around 3:30 PM and smoothly checked into the hotel by 4:30 PM. Our son, thoughtful as always, booked us a delightful suite with both a living room and a bedroom, boasting a splendid view of the Charles River. From our vantage point, we could admire the Prudential Center, John Hancock Tower, and the serene beauty of the Charles River, where morning rowers created a picturesque scene.
Boston holds a special place in our hearts, and this staycation was a wonderful way to celebrate the city we love. After indulging in a delightful breakfast at the hotel, we explored Boston on foot, covering an impressive 30,000 steps in a single day. Despite the cloudy weather and a light drizzle in the late afternoon, the festive Christmas atmosphere was unmistakable.
