Miss Ellie warns Luther to leave, but he refuses to do so because he still has a score to settle with J.R. Payton shows Luther a picture he found of Sue Ellen when she was once “Miss Texas” at a beauty pageant. Payton and Luther are amused and since she doesn’t have her old bathing suit, Luther offers to “help” Sue Ellen look for her banner. Pam tries to talk some sense into Payton about Wanda, Mary Lou, Ray and J.R. Lucy tells Payton that Pam used to be Ray’s girl before she married Bobby. Since Pam is only a Ewing by marriage, Payton decides to spare her, but he picks Lucy.
