What happWhat happens when you combine Formula 1 engineering with a giant mech?
You get a Lando Norris–inspired F1 Gundam.
In this project, I took a Gundam-style mech and gave it a full Formula 1 racing livery inspired by Lando Norris and McLaren’s iconic papaya color scheme. The result is a 4-foot tall 3D printed mech that looks like it just rolled straight out of the F1 paddock and onto the battlefield.
This build pushed the limits of my printers with large-scale parts, tons of print time, and a lot of post-processing to get that smooth, race-car finish.
In this video I cover:
🏎️ Scaling the model up to a massive display piece
🧩 Assembly challenges with large prints
🎨 Painting and finishing the F1-style racing livery
⚙️ Turning a Gundam into something that looks like it belongs on the Formula 1 grid
This might be the only Gundam on Earth inspired by an F1 driver, and honestly… it turned out even cooler than I expected.
If you like 3D printing, giant props, Gundam builds, or Formula 1, you’ll probably enjoy this one.
🐼 Sneaky Panda Builds
I make oversized 3D prints, movie props, and ridiculous projects that probably shouldn’t exist.

🏎️ Inspiration
Inspired by Lando Norris and McLaren’s F1 design language, mixed with a classic Gundam mech aesthetic.
